At the age of 80, I find myself on a new adventure. Good thing I like adventures. I spent the last four years researching and writing this book. I hadn’t planned to write a book, I just wanted to record my early life in Jim Crow Birmingham and my civil rights experiences for my children, grandchildren, and (recently!) great-grandchildren. One thing led to another, and a lot happened.

   This blog will be occasional and short. I will share news about the next steps in the publishing process, musings, photos, and issues related to topics in the book. After publication, I hope to be doing some readings. I will post about them. And, if you have any connections or ideas for readings please share!
